GES has available three drilling rigs with its corresponding OSHA Certified drilling crews to perform drilling exploration with auger borings for Standard Penetration Test, split-barrel sampling of soils, undisturbed thin-walled tube sampling of soils, Diamond Core Drilling, Piezometers and Inclinometers Installation.
The three drilling rigs of GES consist of a CME-75 mounted on a F-800 truck, a CME-55 hauled with a F-350 truck, and a CME-45C, to have a complete flexibility in our drilling capabilities. These equipments can be used to rotary drill between 100 to 400 feet in depth in typical cases. Also, available are two lightweight motorized cathead hoist tripods.
For navigation channels, marinas, and any other off-shore structure, G.E.S. has a barge and a drilling rig in skids, to perform drilling activities on water.
GES has also available a Ferroscan model Hilti PS200, to determine the reinforced bars' position and diameter in the concrete walls, columns, beams, and slabs, with an extra feature to perform half cell corrosion potential survey. For the structural evaluation, GES posses a core drill with a suction base platform to retrieve concrete cores (for strength testing, petrographic analysis, etc.), also the necessary power tools to retreive bars samples (Grade determination and Tensile Strength) and concrete dusts (for Chloride Ion Tests).
GES also counts, with seismographs, electrical resistivity survey equipment, and seismic refraction equipment, for geophysical surveys and monitoring of vibrations.
