The Geotechnical Engineering Services (GES) Company is a Professional Service Corporation with offices in Dorado, Puerto Rico. GES was founded in 1998 by Geotechnical Engineer Aniel Grillasca Rodriguez, P.E., M.E.C.E., which has an experience of more than twenty five years in the civil engineering field and has dealt with more than 2,500 projects in the last twenty five years.
The firm provides comprehensive professional services to consulting groups, designers, industries, government, individuals, and other clients in the field of engineering and architectural design, geotechnical and environmental consulting services. Among the vast ranges of services that GES offers, our main field of expertise is to perform subsoil exploration to determine the soil properties and parameters to evaluate allowable bearing capacity, settlement estimates, feasible foundation type (Shallow, or Deep Foundation), slope stability evaluation, retaining wall design, soft ground improvement, deep excavations, cuts, basements, deep fill areas, lateral or surcharge loads, vibrating machine foundations, liquefaction/seismic activity, sinkhole proneness, expansive soils, groundwater levels fluctuation, earthwork operations, borrow suitability, workability of fill material, compaction methods and results, pavement design, inspection and integrity testing of welds. GES counts also with Senior Geologist Leandro Addarich, which has over fifteen years of experience in geotechnical and environmental projects. Geologist Addarich is in charge of drilling supervision, soil sampling quality control, soil samples description, subsoil stratification, geological evaluation of project sites, laboratory analysis, environmental studies, development of storm water pollution prevention plans, and geophysical studies.
